Job Description

We are currently seeking a full time Usability Engineering Manager to join our growing team in one of the world's leading provider of enterprise software applications. This position manages and leads a team of usability engineers within the corporate User Experience team. Reporting to the Senior Director of User Experience, the manager is expected to work closely with the teams to deliver empirical data that guides the design of the industry's leading CRM products and to engineer the most usable applications in this field.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of usability engineers to deliver empirical data and engineer the best product usability in the field
• Work closely with product management teams and business unit owners to incorporate findings and evangelize design recommendations
• Maintain precision and rigor in Usability engineering process and activities
• Enhance current usability techniques and methods; explore new approaches to usability engineering in enterprise software applications
• Conduct performance and compensation reviews
• Mentor, guide, and develop team members to impact products in a fast-paced, results orientated environment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Human Factors, Experimental Psychology, or other HCI-related field
• Minimum 2 years management experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional usability engineering experience
• In depth understanding and experience with usability engineering methods
• Familiarity and experience with user-centered design techniques, in particular scenario-based design methods
• Strong organizational skills
• Self-motivated and organized with attention to detail
