Interactive Media Producer
Second Story Interactive Studios, Portland, OR, USA

Second Story Interactive Studios seeks Interactive Media Producers to lead teams of designers, programmers, motion graphics artists, writers and developers in the creation of award-winning interactive media for museums and cultural institutions around the world. The Interactive Media Producer will play an active part in the creative concept development of online collections databases, online exhibitions, interactive kiosks, audio/video installations, content management systems and other storytelling technologies. As the primary liaison between the client and the in-house teams, the Producer will orchestrate, coordinate, schedule and manage projects through every phase of development ensuring that the team's collective efforts best fulfill the studio's eleven-year mission to entertain, educate and inspire audiences through innovative interactive media.

Job Responsibilities

  • Play a leading creative role in the concept development of technology intensive interactive experiences for the Web and other digital media.
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations to coordinate and schedule teams and studio resources to ensure that projects are most efficiently executed.
  • Coordinate the acquisition and organization of all media assets related to each project.
  • Create and coordinate schedules for interdisciplinary teams within the studio and between clients and other external collaborators including exhibit designers, filmmakers, fabricators, hardware integrators, writers, musicians and installers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact providing open, accurate, regular and clear communication between the studio and client teams, ensuring that client expectations are exceeded throughout the development process.
  • Maintain Web-based project site as a primary client-team communication tool.
  • Play an active role in quality assurance testing, bug reporting and support for the projects you produce.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3-years experience producing successful interactive projects
  • Familiarity with interactive technology and a knowledge of how interactive projects are developed
  • Strong organizational skills and are Detail oriented
  • Assertive, resourceful, and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent project planning skills
  • Experience managing teams and performing quality assurance
  • Excellent leadership, communication, diplomacy, and negotiation skills
  • Strong writing skills for client correspondence and project specifications
