VC3, Inc., a dynamic, growing IT services solution provider, headquartered in Columbia, SC is seeking a User Interface Designer to apply detailed knowledge of usability standards, design principles, and user behavior to create custom application interfaces for both Web and Windows applications.

Job Responsibilities

• The UI designer is responsible for developing high-fidelity wire frames, prototypes, and detailed UI design requirements/specifications.
• The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must work closely with application developers

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field
• experience creating wire frames or navigational prototypes
• minimum of 2 years UI design experience, with expert knowledge of HTML and CSS
• strong web portfolio including UI for web-based applications
• experience in usability testing and informal usability studies
• significant experience in Photoshop and Illustrator
• demonstrated creative, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Desired Qualities

• Proficiency with Macromedia Dreamweaver 4.0/MX
• Programming background
• Knowledge of portfolio/project management, resource management, financial management, or reporting tools
