Graphic User Interface Designer

Role:

The QUALCOMM User Experience Group (QUE) is seeking graphic UI designers to lead and participate in the visual design of next generation mobile applications and services. We are looking for highly creative and innovative self-starters who are capable of driving the visual design from initial concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have some experience designing for mobile devices and will possess a passion for cutting edge visual design.

Skills/Experience:

The responsibilities of this position include: taking customer briefs, ideas/concept generation and final production of 'polished' graphic UI designs for mobile applications, working closely with global, inter-disciplinary design, marketing and engineering teams to finalize designs and ensure effective realization.

Additional Skills:

• 2-5 years product mgmt. experience in general
• 3+ years commercial experience in graphic UI design for the web and/or mobile devices
• Full literacy with industry standard graphic design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Flash, and Maya/3DS Max are mandatory
• Successful and proven track record of graphical UI design skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills are a must
• User Interface (MMI/CHI) design experience desirable

Education Requirements:

Degree or equivalent in Graphics, Art and Design or a related discipline.
