Information Architect
texturemedia, Boulder, Colorado

Description

texturemedia is looking to hire a junior to mid-level Information Architect to join our expanding department. As an Information Architect, you will plan the navigational structure, design the interface requirements, and support content needs for all interactive projects: CD/DVD-ROMs, Flash applications, and database-driven web applications. This individual acts as a user advocate and participates in identifying both client and user requirements by determining an appropriate architecture and content structure.

texturemedia is a fast-paced, growing company and flexibility will be required. This individual should enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and be able to multi-task and deliver killer results under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Scope out task flows and sitemaps
  • Perform site assessments and content audits as needed
  • Create screen wireframes and functional prototypes to ensure all business and user requirements identified are addressed
  • Work with the project team to identify and define experience models, user groups, goals and critical tasks

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-3 years in web development or agency environment
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills a must
  • Proficiency in process modeling / information design tools (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator) required
  • Experience with requirements gathering techniques, such as interviewing and assisting with group facilitation
  • User Interface development / Design experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of HTML and other web-based technologies.
