Call for Submissions: Special Session at IEA/HFES 2000
Shawn Henry, slh@acm.org

ITG is offering an additional session at the IEA/HFES 2000 conference (http://iea2000.hfes.org/) titled, "Developments in Web Research and Practice." The new session offers an opportunity to present work that was not finalized in time to meet earlier submission deadlines. The goal for this session is to provide short, concise reports of work that is likely to impact - and improve - web design and usage in the near future.

Submissions are encouraged that present recent research or practice in emerging web technologies, interaction strategies, user behavior, usability testing results and discussion, and the like. Submissions should include a description of the idea; results or findings; implications to the future of the Web; and recommendations for further investigation. Also include:

  • A short abstract, less than one page, appropriate for the proceedings
  • A description of the presentation, noting how it will be optimized for the 10-minute timeslot
Send submissions before Tuesday 11 January 2000 to session chair Shawn Henry at slh@acm.org with the subject 'IEA/HFES2000'.
