WHAT'S NEW?

From the Chair's Desk
Pawan Vora, pvora@uswest.com

Belated Happy New Year!

I am sure you'll agree with me that ITG has done pretty well so far. And, the quality of Internetworking is continuing to improve. I'd like to take this to a step furher. My goal for this year is to create a separate e-Commerce (or e-Business) section for Internetworking. I'd like to invite articles on what makes an e-commerce site successful, what factors determine a successful user experience successful on e-commerce Web sites, and what impact does non-commerce related content have on an e-commerce Web site. Also, I'd like to invite an editor for the e-commerce section. If you're interested, please send me an e-mail at pvora@uswest.com.

Finally, on behalf of ITG, I'd like to thank Scott Isensee, our editor-in-chief for Internetworking, for making Internetworking happen and making it a quality internet publication. Scott is leaving IBM and joining the world of start-ups. Best wishes, Scott! I am hoping that we can count on his expertise and experience for ITG. Judy Cantor will be our new editor-in-chief. Welcome aboard, Judy!

And, don't forget our 5th HF/Web conference this year... I am hoping to see you there!!!
